We use rocketship emojis a lot around here - in Slack, social posts, even our conference rooms are all named for shuttle missions. It’s a good reminder that sure, we’re growing rapidly and that is great, but this is more about what it actually takes to get a rocket into space. There are no passengers, we are all crew. And this crew is amazing.
In the last 12 months, we’ve tripled headcount, moved from a two-room office into a 5,000+ square foot, pretty awesome space and added 8 new accounts in the first 6 months of this year with more on the way.
And you know how that’s even possible? Because Seismonauts check systems twice before throwing the switch, we care for our fellow crew members by picking up slack when someone is sick or just needs some time to recharge, we look for divergent ways to solve problems and new ways to create efficiency and let everyone know about them. We learn, but more so we WANT to learn from each other and from our non-Seismic peers and mentors.
“I love the team we have here,” said Jim Henderson, our COO and co-founder. “The last 12 months have been intense in terms of the growth, moving offices, you know, all those things that would be intense even without being in the middle of a pandemic. It’s a testament to the talent, perseverance and organization of everyone on the team that we were able to start 2022 onboarding not only new clients but new Seismonauts as well.”
So, yes, we’re incredibly proud and honored to be named for the third year in a row to a list of the fastest growing companies in KC because of our revenue growth. But we have a saying here, “Relationships Over Revenue” and what that means is that we’re more proud of the ways our team has grown throughout these past few years, both in headcount and in our ability to adapt, evolve and build our relationships with each other and our clients.
Here’s to another year of growth and learning! 🚀🚀🚀
